WHO IS JEE VILLA?
Jee Villa is the founder, artistic director, and choreographer of YYZ Company. He has produced and directed the full-length shows “Imprint” at The Citadel in 2014, and “The Miracle Movement” in 2012 and 2013 at Marshall McLuhan, Toronto ON. Jee is a recipient of numerous awards like the Canada ’Lieutenant Governor’ Award for outstanding community service (The Miracle Movement), and was the World of Dance Toronto 2014 Champion and Stomp Dance Toronto 2015 Champion.
Jee has shared his talent and expertise as instructor in varying capacities for The Rightfoot Dance Studio, YYZ Company, Prospects, Toronto Catholic District School Board Instructor (Grades 1 through 8), City of Toronto Instructor (Aged 4 through 12), George Brown College Guest Instructor, University of Western Ontario Guest Instructor, Canadian Dance Factory Instructor, The Underground Dance Center Guest Instructor, and OIP Dance Center Guest Instructor, among others.
He has appeared in YTV’s The Next Star; Rayandra Hudson, I’ Ray Ray Music Video; Sprockets Film Festival (Under The Artistic Direction of Jennifer Reynolds); Demons Short Film Principal Actor; High School Rush; The Male Initiative (Under the Artistic Direction of Shavar Blackwood); Viral Video Production: This Is How We Do It Principal Dancer; The Male Initiative (Under the Artistic Direction of Leon Blackwood and Shavar Blackwood); Viral Video Production: Dead Wrong Principal Dancer; Viral Promotional Video Production (Under the Artistic Direction of Leon Blackwood); Young Avz, That Song on The Radio Principal Dancer; and Querencia (Under the Artistic Direction of Leah Totten), among others.
His choreography work was showcased in the productions of Boss Dance Company, PCCF Miss Philippines Canada Pageant, Street Lights Hazel Eyes, Fever After Dark: Love, Sex, and Pain, The Bazaar: Return of Hip Hop Artistic, The Bazaar: Timbaland Tribute, Princes, and The Bazaar: Justin Timberlake Tribute, among others.
