WHO IS CHRISTINE WALKER?
Christine Walker is a dancer, actor, choreographer, teacher, and model from Montreal. She began her training in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop & contemporary at Sheila Parkins School of Dance, Ethel Bruneau’s Tap School, and Ballet Divertimento. She joined the Junior Company with Divertimento and toured France & Spain in the T.Danz Festival in collaboration with Dantzaz in contemporary ballet with works by Sidra Bell NYC, Giaconda Barbuto & Sonya Stefan (2009).
Christine graduated from Ryerson University with a BFA in Dance (2013). She had the honor of working with Nadia Potts, Karen Duplisea, Kenny Pearl, Vicky St. Denys, Robert Glumbeck, and William Yong among others. She also had the pleasure of working with Louise Bedard at Springboard Danse Montreal and thereafter performed in NYC with the Stella Adler’s Studio of Acting with the MADAIR project (2010). She was an actress in Naught Theatre Company’s “Something is Wrong” (2013). She has performed in the music video “This Wild Heart” by The Nursery and most recently in “I Got You” by Hollerado. Her credits also include the Pan Am Games opening ceremonies with Cirque Du Soleil as a hip hop dancer in 2015.
Christine’s true passion is teaching dance to all ages. She has been teaching for over 5 years in many public and private schools, community centres and dance and yoga studios. Most recently, Christine competed in Latin Ballroom under the Canada Dance Council with her partner Boris, winning 1st place in both Bronze & Silver categories with Dancelife X Centre, as well as performing in other professional shows in 2015-16.
