Steven Chau

Steven Chau is an artist and choreographer from Scarborough, Ontario. Dancing since 2010, his dance style and choreographies have been heavily influenced by the performative, visually magnetic, and theatrical aspects of K-Pop, as well as his training background in hip hop, jazz funk, and some contemporary.  

Having been trained by industry professionals like Mina Myoung, J Ho, and Lia Kim in Seoul of 2016, auditioned for K-Pop talent agencies, and competed and choreographed for multiple international K-Pop events, Steven has brought his love and unique background in K-Pop into his own work. His choreographies are catchy, quirky, fiery, conversational, emotional, captivating, and complement many different kinds of movers as well. Steven has also trained with industry professionals such as Sorah Yang, Keone and Mari, Jerome Esplana, Caroline Torti, Shaun Evaristo, and more.

Steven has established a current following of over 19,000 on Instagram with his catchy videos and choreographies that have pulled in different types of audiences and K-Pop fans. He has directed, choreographed, and produced his own dance videos and has collaborated with companies such as Warner Brothers Music Canada, SiriusXM, Mazda Corporation, Yorkdale Mall, and more. He has taught Jazz Funk, “K-Pop Originals”, and Commercial Choreography classes in studios such as Millennium Dance Complex Toronto, VYbE Dance Company, DanceLifeX, and Prestige Dance Studio, and has directed and choreographed for dance teams such as K9 Collective. 

Currently, Steven continues to level up in choreographing, dancing, producing and directing his own videos as he also pursues acting, singing and songwriting, and studies in Toronto Metropolitan University’s Media Production Program.
